"I support United Way of Erie County because I was raised to believe that when you are blessed you should reach back and bless others. As a result, I like to give to charities that I believe are truly helping people. United Way's mission, programming and active community involvement reflect their commitment to the people of Erie and I want to do what I can to support their commitment and good work. I would challenge those who have been fortunate and prosperous and have it to give, to consider their blessing and to consider giving back just a small portion of those belongings to United Way of Erie County." -Erica L. Jenkins, Young Leaders Society Member since 2015.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Did you know 10% of your United Way YLS gift goes to support the McKinley Project with fifth-graders at McKinley Elementary? Become more involved in this program and make a lasting impact in the students' lives by volunteering as a Career Street speaker. Volunteers spend 15 minutes in each of the four classrooms (for a total of 60 minutes) discussing their jobs and answering the students' questions. It's a great experience that means a lot to the students. Please contact Gina Schaefer at 814-456-2937 ext. 221 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to sign up!
