In partnership with Operation Warm, Edison Elementary, a United Way Community School, teamed up with New Motors Subaru to provide warm coats and shoes to more than 100 students this winter. The initiative was made possible through the generosity of New Motors Subaru and the time and care of their volunteer team.

As Erie’s winter weather sets in, ensuring students are comfortable and ready to learn is more important than ever. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting students in practical, meaningful ways, meeting everyday needs while helping kids feel confident and cared for at school.

Ryan Franklin, Sales Manager at New Motors Subaru, shared, “I like being part of the community and doing something bigger. I have two kids at home, so knowing I can help support kids beyond my own and make sure their needs are met means a lot to me.”

Beth Moski, New Motors lead liaison with Operation Warm, added, “It was really special to see students pick out their favorite colors and light up when they found a coat or pair of shoes they loved. Something as simple as that can make a big difference in how a student feels walking into school.”

Giving back is a core part of New Motors Subaru's mission, with a strong focus on investing in the next generation of Erie County. Their partnership with Edison Elementary is a powerful example of how local businesses and schools can come together to support students and strengthen the community.

Thank you to New Motors Subaru and all of the volunteers who helped make sure students are ready to take on winter supported & warm!
