Diehl's Read Aloud Family Workshop
A core element of the United Way Community School Model is to increase resources and supports for families, including adult education and workshops that promote family stability and student success. This year, Diehl Elementary partnered with Erie Playhouse’s PLAYtime program to host a Read Aloud Family Workshop. During this event, parents learned practical strategies for engaging their children through reading and discovered ways to make reading aloud an enjoyable experience at home. Encouraging reading for pleasure is a vital step in building strong literacy skills, and through this collaborative effort, Diehl families are empowered to support their students’ growth and success.
