This year, a classroom reading program called Books with Bankers was launched with Lincoln’s Corporate Partner Coalition. Corporate Partner volunteers joined classrooms once a month to read to the class. Each bank in the coalition was matched with a grade level, and volunteers stayed with their classrooms all year so that strong relationships could be built with students. Banks will move with their grade level next year to continue those relationships. Over the course of six sessions, 32 volunteers joined Lincoln’s classrooms!
