Jefferson Elementary made a remarkable mark this year by becoming the first-ever champions of the Community School Flag Football tournament. Both girls and boys participated in an after-school program designed to develop athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, culminating in a collaborative tournament with fellow United Way Community Schools. The program not only provided students with a fun and inclusive opportunity for physical activity but also strengthened connections between families, staff, and the wider community. Their dedication and teamwork on the field reflected the school’s commitment to fostering both personal growth and community engagement among students. This historic win brought pride to Jefferson and highlighted the positive impact of collaborative extracurricular programs.
