McKinley Elementary, a United Way Community School, hosted its annual Color Blast Party, bringing together more than 400 students and family members for an afternoon full of color, connection, and community.
With support from United Way volunteers, Women United members, Rotary Volunteers, school staff, and community partners, students and families were welcomed into a space that was full of energy, laughter, and plenty of color along the way.

While events like this are a lot of fun, they also play an important role. They create opportunities for families to show up, build relationships, and feel more connected to their school and each other. That sense of belonging is what helps strengthen the entire school community, and ultimately what makes a school a Community School.
