Joelyn is an Erie native and speech communications graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her current position as the Director of Marketing & Communications at United Way of Erie County, Joelyn held positions at the Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership and the Erie Community Foundation.
Joelyn is Jefferson Society Civic Leadership Academy graduate. And, was honored in 2017 Erie Reader 40 Under 40 class and named 2018 Young Erie Professional of the Year by Young Erie Professionals and the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership.
Today, she gives back to the Erie community by serving as a board member for the Erie Food Co-Op and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America - NWPA Chapter. She is also a member of the Erie County Technical School Public Advisory Council. And, in 2022 is serving on the host committee for the 40 Under 40 Experience and Tall Ships Festival. Other passions include shopping local, eating “veganish” and spending time with her dog, Rue.
