Brave messages for McKinley 5th Graders

IMG 5702

United Way Young Leaders Society recently partnered with McKinley Elementary, a United Way community school to purchase a copy of the popular book Brave by Svetlana Chmakova for each fifth grade student as part of the McKinley Adopt-a-Student project. Annually, United Way's YLS adopts the fifth grade class, providing opportunities and support throughout the school year.

To enhance the book initiative, YLS Steering Committee members will be writing a note of encouragement in each and every one of the more than 80 books!

When students feel supported they can succeed!
