Meet Your Neighbor at National Night Out 2021!

It's back and better than ever! National Night Out is August 3, 2021. $13,200 from United Way supports 16 different events happening throughout Erie County for community members to connect with each other and other local organizations!

Academy Neighborhood Association

Make your way over to Baker's Field located at East 32nd and Holland St. on August 3 from 6 to 7:30PM for a neighborhood celebration including food trucks, a soccer demonstration from the Erie High Soccer Team, music from a local artist and the chance to win safety equipment like smoke detectors and first aid kits! Check out the ongoing beautification improvements to the field and get the opportunity to meet your neighbors at this National Night Out event that only happens once a year!

Bayfront East Side Task Force

Bayfront East Side Task Force is hosting National Night Out at Wallace Park located at Wallace St. & E Front St. on August 3 from 6 to 8PM! Residents of this neighborhood get the chance to meet one another, local law enforcement and politicians as well as enjoy free food and entertainment provided by The Breeze Band.

Belle Valley Fire Department, Inc.

Join the Belle Valley Fire Department for this year's National Night Out on August 3 from 6 to 9PM. Located at 1514 Norcross Road, the whole family will enjoy inflatables, obstacle courses, face painting and more! Free food and refreshments will be provided as well as local resources from Belle Valley Presbyterian Church; various fire departments, Millcreek Paramedic service, Millcreek Police Department and other community partners.

Diehl Elementary School & Mercyhurst University

Diehl Elementary School and Mercyhurst University are partnering up for National Night Out 2021! This year's event will be on August 3 from 6 to 8PM at 2327 Fairmount Pkwy. Free family-friendly activities will be provided such as inflatable attractions, carnival games, face painting and even a sidewalk chalk contest! The first 150 participants will receive a free mini LED flashlight to promote safe nighttime walking. Grab a hotdog or two while you're there and meet your neighbors!

East Middle School

East Middle School is partnering with local agencies and law enforcement for this year's National Night Out! Join the neighborhood in yard games, music and free snacks over at 1001 Atkins St. on August 3 from 4 to 7PM. Thanks to East Middle School, East Avenue/Hess Avenue Neighborhood Watch, Crime Victim Center, Erie Center for Arts & Technology, Safe Harbor Behavioral Health, UPMC Health Plan, Caring Place, NWPA Recovery is Beautiful, Urban University, Penn State Behrend Core, Coalition Pathways, Wayne Primary Care and the City of Erie Fire Department for supporting National Night Out 2021!

Edison Elementary School and Boys & Girls Club of Erie

Join Edison Elementary and the Boys & Girls Club of Erie for National Night Out 2021 on August 3 from 4 to 7PM at 1921 E Lake Road. Bring the whole family over for backyard games, a meet and greet with local firefighters and law enforcement as well as fire truck tours and entertainment from The Legend Band!

Elk Valley Elementary School, Elk Creek Recreation & Leisure Board and Rice Avenue Community Public Library

Girard and Lake City families are invited to Elk Valley Elementary for National Night Out on August 3 from 6 to 7:30PM for National Night Out located at 2556 Maple Avenue! Enjoy live music from Sean Patrick and the Newgrass Revolution, free pizza and ice cream, a Chinese auction and much more! You will have the opportunity to meet with local businesses, law enforcement and community partners. Parents can also grab FREE school supplies to help their children be prepared for the upcoming school year. Don’t miss this community event that happens only once a year!

Erie Free Store

Erie Free Store is inviting all neighbors and friends for a special community event. Head over to Elmwood Presbyterian at 2816 Elmwood Avenue on August 3 from 4:30 to 7PM for National Night Out 2021! Meet up with local emergency personnel, community partners and members for a meal for families to enjoy together.

Glenwood United Methodist Church

Families can make there way over to Glenwood United Methodist Church located at 2931 Myrtle St. on August 3 from 6 to 8PM for National Night Out 2021! Connect with local law enforcement, Erie Fire Department and Emergycare as well as Erie High representatives. Enjoy free snacks, entertainment from a magician and DJ and lots of children's activities!

Greene Township

Residents of Greene Township can head to 9333 Tate Road August 3 from 6 to 8PM for National Night Out 2021! Local community partners will have tables present for families to gather information and collect resources such as safety handouts, food pantry items, smoke detectors and more. A live band from the area will also be providing entertainment for the occasion.

Housing Authority City of Erie

Residents of Erie Heights Neighborhood and Curry Schell Apartments are invited to National Night Out 2021! Located at 4200 Block Crestmont Avenue on August 3 from 5 to 8PM for a night full of family-friendly fun! Connect with neighbors and community partners for resources and information. Children will love the pony rides, petting zoo, numerous crafts, water slides, fire truck tours and more. You won't want to miss this event that only happens once a year!

Iroquois Elementary School and Lawrence Park Township

Iroquois and Lawrence Park families are encouraged to visit Iroquois Elementary's National Night Out. Meet other local residents and their families at 4231 Morse St. on August 3 from 6 to 8:30PM. Families of all ages will get the chance to participate in a Color Dance, school supply round robin and a garage sale giveaway as well as connect with local law enforcement. Snacks will be provided.

McKinley Elementary School

Head over to McKinley Elementary School at 933 East 22nd St. for National Night Out 2021 on August 3 from 3 to 6PM! Families will receive a punch card to connect with community partners at each table. Completed punch cards will be entered in a drawing at the end of the event. Music, boxed lunches and activities will be provided to encourage families to come out and meet more of their neighbors. They will also have the opportunity to check out McKinley's clothing pantry and register students for after school programming for the upcoming year.

Neighbors of the West Erie Bayfront should head over to Gridley Park between W. 6th and Liberty St. on August 3 from 5 to 8PM for National Night Out 2021! Grab a free hot dog dinner provided by Three B Saloon, Smith Provisions Inc. and Tops Friendly Market, your vaccine at the UPMC Hamot Walk In Clinic for anyone 12+ and meet local vendors and community members all in one 3 hour event! Live entertainment will provided by the Familiar Spirit Band. Dozens of organizations will be available with helpful information and resources. Free children activities like a bounce slide and water balloon toss, face painting, games and even a scavenger hunt will be located on the west side of the park. You and your family won’t want to miss the basket raffles and this awesome community event!

Perry Elementary School and Erie Family Center

Perry Elementary is teaming with Erie Family Center for a Perry Carnival and Resource Event during this year's National Night Out on August 3 from 4 to 6PM at 955 W. 29th St! Families can enjoy music from DJ Tate, Superhero Character appearances, an ice cream carnival treat as well as a Chinese auction and resource stations provided by community partners. 

A big thanks to Perry Elementary, local Day Cares and Centers, Child Development and Erie Family Center, Community Mental Health Agencies, County Assistance, Erie Public Schools and Immanuel Baptist Church for their participation in this year's National Night Out!

Youth Leadership Institute of Erie

Families are encouraged to play in a neighborhood kickball game for National Night Out on August 3 from 4 to 7PM located at Ted Amendola Memorial Field between Wallace St. and 2nd St. Participate with other families, community partners and local responders for some friendly competition and get to know your neighbors a little bit better! A big shoutout and thanks to Youth Leadership Institute of Erie, League of Women Voters and Perseus House Charter Schools for their help and support in running this National Night Out 2021 event!
