United Way collected $2,045 of monetary donations for the recent Supplies for Success Community Schools Drive. As of August 20, more than $10,000 worth of supplies have been donated across all community schools.
More than 15 Corporate, Lead, and Community Partners coordinated donations of supplies to various schools.
McKinley received $1,000 worth of supplies from re-entrants with the Department of Corrections - they chose McKinley as their community service project for the month.
UPMC Med Lab is currently conducting an independent supply drive for Diehl, in addition to $420 worth of supplies already donated to the school.
Erie Federal Credit Union donated supplies to several community schools, including McKinley, Perry, Elk Valley, and Edison.
Neighborhood churches donated hundreds of school supplies to many schools including Harding, Elk Valley, and Perry.
At Perry, enough supplies were donated to ensure that ALL students will be given a pencil box, pencils, crayons, markers, glue stuck, and scissors. Teachers will be provided playdough, notebooks, colored pencils, and MORE!
More than 900 individual school supply items were delivered to Harding.
250 earbuds, 75 headphones, and 100 computer mice were donated to East, which will help ensure students can utilize technology as some virtual learning continues.
