Staff Updates

At United Way, we say “changing lives is all in a day’s work.” As we begin the year 2023, we wanted to share with our valued supporters some recent staffing updates.  

Mike Jaruszewicz

Mike was promoted to senior vice president of community impact in August 2022.

He began his career with United Way in 2010 as a loaned representative moving quickly into a community impact manager role, director of community impact role and then became the vice president of community impact in 2017.

Joelyn Bush

Joelyn was promoted to vice president of marketing and communications in July 2022.

She began her career with United Way in 2014 as marketing and communications manager and then director of marketing and communications in 2017 prior to this announcement.

Sara Naughton

Sara was promoted to senior data and evaluation manager in January 2023.

She began her career with United Way in 2020 as community impact coordinator and in 2021 moved into a data and evaluation manager role prior to her recent promotion this recent announcement.

Damali Donovan

Damali was promoted to senior community impact coordinator in January 2023.

She began her career with United Way as an AmeriCORPS VISTA in 2019. At the conclusion of her service, Damali accepted a full-time position in 2021 as United Way’s community impact coordinator prior to this recent announcement.

New Hires: Welcome Jess and Jeanette!

United Way is pleased to announce the hiring of Jess Belousov as community impact coordinator.

Jess is a recent Gannon University graduate and joins the team with nonprofit and local business experience. Most recently, Jess held positions with UPMC Hamot and served as an intern with Our West Bayfront.

United Way is pleased to announce later this month Jeanette Long will join the team as United Way's community schools support manager. Jeanette has extensive project management and collegiate experience.

She holds a bachelor's degree in English as well as a master's degree in Secondary Education from Mercyhurst University and a master's degree in English from Gannon University. Jeanette is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Rhetoric and Applied Linguistics.
