As a volunteer tax preparer, you will hear some of their stories and experience first-hand how you make a difference when you LIVE United as a VITA volunteer. On October 20, Safe Journey announced that they have been awarded a $748,613 grant from the Office of Violence Against Women. In addition to the grant, United Way of Erie County and The Erie Community Foundation will provide funding to purchase a transport vehicle that will be outfitted as a counseling space and used to provide outreach counseling services and prevention programs for adults and youth at parks, trailer parks and housing units throughout rural Erie County.
