United Way of Erie County to Hold 2016 Annual Meeting

United Way of Erie County will hold the 2016 Annual Meeting on Tuesday May 10 at the Bayfront Convention Center.

More than 375 of Erie County’s community leaders and philanthropists are expected to attend the Annual Meeting, thanks to the sponsorship of UPMC Health Plan.

This year's Annual Meeting will highlight the organization’s 2015 campaign year including the Imagination Library, FamilyWize, and Erie FREE Taxes programs.

United Way officials will recognize the 2015 Honor Roll companies and announce the total community support from the 2015-2016 Campaign as well.

To earn an Honor Roll distinction from United Way a company must demonstrate five consecutive years of workplace giving campaign growth.

In addition to wrapping up the organizations 101st campaign year, United Way of Erie County will debut the 2016 Faces United exhibit, the organizations funded program and initiative’s success stories in a large format photographic display.

After debuting at the Annual Meeting, the exhibit will travel to various locations throughout the community.  Success Stories can also be viewed online at FacesUnited.org.

United Way of Erie County is working to improve community conditions and create opportunities for a better life for everyone. Mobilizing people and organizations from across the community who bring passion, resources and the expertise needed to get things done.

Thanks to the generous community support, United Way of Erie County helps improve the lives of one out of every three people in Erie County each year. Last year, more than 100,000 friends and neighbors in the region were touched by United Way.

Additional information about United Way of Erie County programs and initiatives can be found at UnitedWayErie.org/funding.

The Faces United exhibit has been made possible by the generous sponsorship of Penelec, a First Energy Company and Jennifer Dworek Photography.
