United Way of Erie County will launch its Centennial Campaign on Thursday, September 4 during an energizing rally-style event in the GoErie Club at Erie Insurance Arena. Terry Cavanaugh, Erie Insurance President and CEO has been named Chair of United Way’s 100th Anniversary Campaign and will address an estimated 250 attendees at the event along with Board Chairman, Jim E. Martin of Northwest Savings Bank.
· Also at the Kickoff, United Way will announce a variety of incentive prizes designed to encourage people to give. Donors who contribute $156 a year – just $3.00 a week – to United Way of Erie County during the 2014 Campaign are eligible for one of five prizes. There are two additional “Step-Up” incentive prizes for those who either increase their gift by 50 cents per week or begin contributing for the first time. New this year is a weekly drawing for a $25 Scott Enterprises Ultimate Gift Card that will be given away for anyone who provides new or updated contact information to the organization via the webpage www.unitedwayerie.org/me.
· United Way of Erie County's LIVE UNITED 2025 bold vision of helping 10,000 more families become self-sufficient is leading the organization to find even better ways to bring the community together. The Campaign Kickoff event will set the stage for what promises to be an exciting start to the next Century of service!
