Day of Caring is an opportunity for volunteers to join local nonprofit agencies and community groups to work on one-time service projects. Day of Caring is a unique opportunity for you to learn about local organizations and establish relationships for future involvement. Numerous projects helping nonprofits, schools and neighborhoods throughout Erie County are scheduled to take place April 8, 2017.
United Way has partnered with the Erie County Department of Planning to offer support to those individuals and groups wishing to participate in spring clean up volunteering. If you are interested in coordinating one or more clean up projects this year, we encourage you to reach out to:
Brittany Prischak, Sustainability Coordinator
Erie County Department of Planning
Brittany can help you register your projects, get supplies, complete Great American Clean Up data cards and help make sure the trash collected gets disposed of properly. For those organizations who worked directly with Gannon University's Day of Caring, please note that this has been scheduled for Saturday, April 8. Your point of contact is Sara Nesbitt for securing student volunteers (firstname.lastname@example.org) and your point of contact for supplies is Brittany Prischak.
Also, please know your organizations are welcome to use Get Connected, United Way's free online volunteer center, to help recruit volunteers.
Please visit Get Connected for complete information on getting involved with Days of Caring for 2017.
