The Junior League RAVE Awards at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center on . The RAVE Awards are designed to Recognize Achieving Volunteers in Erie and thank them for the amazing contributions they make in our community. This year, our event theme will be The Big Picture: the Strength and Success of our Erie Community.
We will celebrate the hard work and dedication of our nominees, as well as recognize how their efforts address some of the greatest challenges we encounter as a community. Volunteers play an essential role in the success of nonprofit programs and services; our community relies on volunteers who are willing to mentor youth, provide access to basic needs, improve neighborhoods, and support families as they become self-sufficient. We believe that volunteerism is essential to a healthy community – it creates ownership, builds relationships, fosters civic responsibility, and fulfills vital needs. The RAVE Awards give us an opportunity to thank volunteers for the contributions they make at local organizations, as well as illustrate how the collective efforts of volunteers can help improve our community.
We are currently soliciting nominations from the community to identify volunteers who are making Erie a better place! Volunteers will be recognized in four categories: Adult Volunteer (Ages 25 and over), Young Adult Volunteer (Ages 18-24), Teen Volunteer (Ages 13-18), and Junior Volunteer (Ages 7-12). All nominees will be invited to attend the RAVE Awards ceremony and the winner from each category will receive a cash grant to distribute to the nonprofit of their choice.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, February 19. Additional details and the nomination form can be found here.
