Warmer weather is finally on the way and it’s time to stretch those legs and enjoy the great outdoors. What better way to embrace the changing seasons than by participating in a spring clean-up with neighbors and friends? Days of Caring 2014 provides the perfect chance for the whole family to get out and give back in Erie County.
“Days of Caring" is United Way's annual community-wide volunteer mobilization effort. Last year, we mobilized nearly 3,000 volunteers on 41 projects over the span of two weeks.
This year's projects will take place from Saturday, April 19th – April 30th at over 30 locations across Erie County including nonprofits, schools and neighborhoods.
We’re looking to mobilize as many as 4,000 volunteers this year, but we need your help! There are 17 projects that still are in need of volunteers. Projects include everything from outdoor clean-ups and landscaping to painting and gardening.
Please consider volunteering to help in one of these great projects and spread the word to your friends and families. Let us know where you plan to volunteer by commenting on our Facebook Page. You can view more details about each of the open projects by visiting Get Connected, Erie’s online volunteer center. And don't forget-- each volunteer in the 2014 Days of Caring gets a voucher for a free ticket to an Erie SeaWolves game!
So what are you waiting for? Go to Get Connected and sign up today!
